This
uniquely KENKO range of products contain naturally occurring microbes
which benefit the host and /or the environment. The microbes have
been shown to be free of virulence genes, d not undergo any form
of manipulation and contain no chemicals, ensuring a natural approach
to every situation – safe and non-toxic. Each of the microbes
used in the KENKO range are grown by fermentation to GMP (Good Manufacturing
Practice) Standard. All of the microbes have been selected on the
basis they can be clearly defined by genus species and genetic fingerprinting.
Each of the microbes selected fulfills an important role in improving
water quality and animal health.
The
KENKO range results from research and development into selection
of microbial strains, determination of effectiveness of strains,
formulation of products, stability testing, resolution of compatibility
with antibiotics and field trials. Kenko offers a range of live
microbial products designed for incorporation into a programme of
water treatment to promote a healthy environment for crustaceans
(eg., shrimp), fish, molluscs and other water-borne animals. This
approach is to increase yields through improvement in water quality
and lowering of mortality rates by reduction in levels of disease
causing bacteria and enhance resistance to disease. With other benefits
applicable to waste water, such as reduction in odour, can also
be used in fresh, brakish, or sea water to lower or degrade sludge
and solids, stabilize plankton and improve water quality.
